All app settings, preferences, favourites, and personal timeline entries are stored locally on your device only. While the app connects to the Hanes API to fetch content, no personal information is collected or stored through those requests.

We use a third-party service called RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and to verify premium entitlements. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat may process the following information:
This information is used solely for the purpose of processing and verifying your purchase. We do not use RevenueCat for analytics, advertising, or profiling of any kind. You can read RevenueCat's own privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
We do not sell, trade, or share any user information with third parties. The only external processing that takes place is through RevenueCat as described above, and this is strictly for the purpose of managing purchases.
You have the right to delete all of your app data at any time. Since all user data — including settings, favourites, and personal history entries — is stored locally on your device, you can remove it by clearing the app data or by uninstalling the app.
If you have made a purchase and wish to request deletion of your RevenueCat purchase record, you can do so from within the app's Settings page.
Hanes is an educational app suitable for all ages. The app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or any other users.

Hanes is provided for personal, non-commercial, educational use. You may browse, read, and interact with the content within the app for your own enjoyment and learning.
Hanes offers a one-time premium unlock that provides access to the full timeline, search, favourites, personal history, map view, and all articles. Purchases are processed through the Google Play Store and are subject to Google's terms. Refund requests should be directed to Google Play.
The historical content in Hanes is derived from Wikipedia and served through the Hanes API. Images are sourced from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. All Wikipedia-derived content and images remain subject to their respective licences. While we endeavour to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any historical information presented. Content is available in both English and Welsh (Cymraeg).
All app design, branding, and original content are the property of Hanes Cymru. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the app or its content without prior permission.
The timeline component in Hanes is derived from The History of Everything by 2Dimensions, licensed under the MIT Licence. Animations from that project are licensed under CC-BY and used with attribution. Article content is derived from Wikipedia and licensed under the GNU Free Documentation Licence.
We aim to keep the app available and up to date, however we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue features at any time.
Hanes is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Hanes Cymru shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the app.
